THE MUSEUM OF CHEESE

The museum of cheese was founded by the Lozhenko farmer family in 2014. The area of the museum is only 20 sq. m. You can taste traditional and authors’ cheeses here.

  • Ukrainian cheeses were insanely popular a century and a half ago. They were exported to French city Marseilles. The Swiss were buying it in a huge amount and selling it. Unfortunately, Soviet regime eradicated this glorious tradition.​

  • At the museum exhibits we can see antique cheese making tools, clippings  from newspapers and books, recipes, etc.

- If you didn’t hear about cheeses with ginger, paper or apricot, you need to visit this museum and learn Ukrainian traditions of cheese making and eating. Oh, and don’t forget to try it!
