VDNG
The National Complex “Expocenter of Ukraine”kept their former brand name VDNG, formerly known as the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy of Ukrainian SSR. Nowadays, the exhibition center is still in business with both international and local exhibitions, demonstrating achievements of Ukrainians. It was opened in 1958 and includes 180 buildings on 286 hectares. VDNG are responsible for organizing more than 100 events with closely to 2 million visitors every year. It is the greenest place in the world by the size of greenery and it’s fifth by the total area.

There was supposed to be a 50-meters monument, the highest in Europe, to the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin instead of “ZernoviKultury” pavilion.

Once there was a small settlement called Krasnyitraktyr with a post office, a tavern and ablacksmith's shop in the place of main entrance. The old BilaTserkva trade route was there as well.
